Well, sorry it has been a while
since my last blog, our life is so much more hectic!! Ava sure
keeps us on our toes now that she is able to maneuver all over
the house. She is growing up so fast and is really getting big,
she finally weighs enough to turn the car seat around and face
it forward! Big milestone for her!
The last couple of outings with
the race car have been pretty good. We found some problems with
the magneto clamp at Dragfest and we were able to correct it
in time for the NHRR at Bowling Green. The result of the fixed
problem was number one qualifier, low e.t. of each qualifying
session, low e.t. and top speed of the race and we won the race....pretty
successful I think!
We are headed to Boise next weekend
for the Nightfire Nationals, the next points race for us. Right
now we are 5th in the point standings and with the dwindling
number of top fuel cars attending the Boise race, we stand a
good chance of being able to make up some ground in the points
chase.
Before heading to Boise though,
we will make a quick stop in Preston, Washington for our annual
trip to our sponsor, Silverthin Bearings headquarters for a cook
out and fire up for all of the Silverthin employees and their
families. It's a great time for everybody and I am really looking
forward to it.
We are also very excited about
a couple of new partnerships that have been put in place. The
first is the addition of RMS Healthcare to Highspeed Motorsports.
We are honored to be able to help out such a great company that
gives so much back to its community. The other new partnership
is with AdoptUsKids.org.
Coming up in September is something
that our team is really excited about, we will be making exhibition
runs at the Pinks All Out at Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield California.
This will be something completely different than what our guys
are used to, it should be a blast!!
Please stop and say hi if you
happen to be at any of our upcoming events and check back here
soon for more info on what is going on with our team.
