Highspeed Motorsports Top Fuel
Dragster March Meet Bound
Anaheim, CA (Feb. 28, 2008) - The Highspeed Motorsports team will
make their way over the Grapevine from SoCal to Bakersfield for
the running of the 50th annual March Meet. Pre-race entries for
the event have topped 500 cars which will feature upwards of
25 top fuel dragsters slugging it out for one of the top 16 spots
and a chance to win this historic event.
"What an honor it is just
to be able to participate in an event of this caliber."
said driver Troy Green. "Our team is really pumped up for
this event and we are sure hoping to be around for a long time
on Sunday."
Highspeed Motorsports will be
looking for a little redemption from the 2007 March Meet where
the team struggled in qualifying and lost in round one in an
extremely close race.
"We have made some major
changes to our car over the winter to try to get some consistency
back and I think we are really on to something just judging by
our testing numbers, so we are very excited to get back on the
track." Crew Chief Brett Johansen.
The March Meet will be the first
points race in a 5 race series called the Hot Rod Heritage Series.
