Dunlap left first by

Dunlap had a commanding
lead by the 330' timing blocks.
Hirata's engine started
going away at the 1000' mark.
Dunlap made a full pull to a
sterling 5.729 at 255.19 (top speed of the meet) while Hirata
trailed with a shut-off early 6.037 at 197.48.

In round two Dunlap faced the
formidable Dusty Green in the Nitro Hemi car out of Denver, CO.
